Description
Appearance: It is easily recognized by its brown body, black head, and distinct bright yellow patch of bare skin around the eyes. It also has a yellow beak and yellow legs.
Commonality: It is a very common bird in Sri Lanka and across many parts of Asia. In Sinhala, it is known as the "Puwak Kurulla" (පුවක් කුරුල්ලා).
Behavior: Common Mynas are highly social and intelligent birds. They are known for their loud, vocal nature and can often be found near human settlements, foraging on the ground for food.
Diet: They are omnivorous, feeding on a wide variety of items including insects, fruits, grains, and even human food scraps.
